NFDC NW Sportsman’s Dinner raises £25,325

This year Charmaine O’Connor is vice chair of the NFDC and part of her role is to organise the annual NFDC Sportsman’s Dinner. Held at the Museum of Science and Industry on Friday 11 November, 280 of our peers and colleagues attended and their generosity was outstanding.

Compered by the voice of Old Trafford, Alan Keegan following dinner, guests were entertained by Steve Kindon, the former professional footballer at Wolves, Burnley and Huddersfield and Kevin Connelly one of the UK’s leading impressionists.

Following the entertainment, the charity auction got underway and an incredible £25,325 was raised on the night, with auction and raffle prizes including signed Scholes, Giggs and Aguero shirts, spa breaks and dinners at top restaurants.  Our charities for the night were Francis House Children’s Hospice and Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre.
